I've always been drawn to creativity, storytelling, and the way design can shape the way people connect.
Maybe that's why back in high school, I spent most afternoons playing bass in our school band, chasing that creative spark. Or maybe it's why I initially thought my path was in photography, capturing moments + stories of my clients through a lens.
But when I discovered brand design and strategy, everything clicked, because branding isn't just about aesthetics. It's about meaning, connection, and building something that lasts.

After studying Communication Design in Melbourne, I found myself back in Wagga Wagga in 2016, where I started helping small businesses bring their brands to life, alongside my full-time venue manager role in the hospitality industry. I was moonlighting this biz and working 40+ hours a week at our venue and let me tell you - it was a busy time!
And as more businesses evolved, I saw a pattern: so many were focused on ājust a logoā but missing the deeper strategy that makes a brand truly work. Thatās what drove me to start Storytold Studio (or if youāve been around here a while, Jes Lea Creative!).
